On Friday 9.25.20 the Leopards traveled to Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, TX to compete in the McNeil Invitational. The McNeil Invitational is typically ran on the same course used for the State Cross Country Championship, but due to recent rain the course was moved to an alternate location in the park. The Lady Leopards raced their first 5K of the season at 12:00 PM. Some of the states top ranked teams participated in the 5A Girls Race. #1 Boerne Champion, #2 Grapevine, #4 Lovejoy, and #5 Georgetown battled out the 5K race. The Lady Leopards won the meet with 54 points. Dripping Springs placed 2nd overall with 59 points. Boerne Champion, Grapevine, and Georgetown finished with 64, 71, and 93 points respectively. Amy Morefield won the meet with a time of 18:03 and Kailey Littlefield placed 5th overall with a time of 18:46. The Boys team also raced their first 5K of the season at 12:30 PM. State ranked teams #1 Grapevine, #2 Boerne Champion, #4 Dripping Springs, and #5 Lovejoy all competed in the 5A Boys division. The JV and Varsity Boys competed at the Marcus 3200M on Friday 9.18.20. The official course measurement was 1.8 Miles in distance. The Lovejoy Girls and Boys JV teams competed in a Dual Meet with Highland Park at Willow Springs on Saturday 9/15/20. Joey Farkas led our boys with a 4th place finish overall and a time of 11:47. The Varsity Boys and Girls and top JV teams competed at the Hebron Friday Night Hawk Invite on 9.11.20. The Varsity Girls finished 2nd overall behind 6A #2 CCCAT ranked Flower Mound. Kailey Littlefield finished 2nd overall with a time of 11:18 and Amy Morefield finished 4th overall with a time of 11:19. The JV Girls team finished 2nd overall.
